Brand Finance’s new report reveals that two Japanese logistics brands now account for 10% of the global rankings collective brand value

Japan's JR (brand value up 11% to USD13.3 billion) has overtaken Germany’s DHL (brand value down 8% to USD11.2 billion), to be ranked as third most valuable logistics brand globally, according to the Logistics 25 2025 report from Brand Finance, the world's leading brand valuation consultancy.

Together, JR and Japan Post account for 10% of the collective brand value of the world’s top 25 logistics brands, now standing at USD168.0 billion.
JR is also ranked as the third strongest logistics brand globally with a Brand Strength Index (BSI) score of 89.8/100 and an AAA+ brand strength rating, highlighting its consistent brand performance and operational excellence. Among Japanese survey respondents, JR is recognised as a highly familiar and well-understood brand, reflecting deep-rooted trust and cultural relevance in the market.

Meanwhile, Japan Post (brand value up 20% to USD3.2 billion) climbed eight places to re-enter the top 25 ranking at the 18th position. The brand continues to benefit from domestic innovation and efficiency improvements in parcel delivery, further strengthening its position on the global stage.

Global Insights
UPS (brand value down 6% to USD32.6 billion) remains the most valuable logistics brand for the 11th consecutive year.
FedEx (brand value down 20% to USD22.9 billion) holds its second-place position for the third year in a row.
Hyundai Glovis (brand value up 81% to USD3.0 billion) is the fastest-growing logistics brand of 2025.
JD Logistics is the strongest logistics brand in 2025, with a BSI score of 90.5/100 and AAA+ brand strength ratings.
